I recently purchased the Louise Hay Audio CD “How to Love Yourself”. As someone who often forgets to pay attention to myself it was timely that I heard what Louise had to say.
As I listened to her 10 steps to loving yourself I became quickly immersed in the realisation that I needed to be kinder to myself, cease the self criticism and invest more into becoming more of who I know I am. Louise has an amazingly simple way of explaining why we need to do what we need to do – it seems so logical.
At the end of the CD she provides a short meditation (for those of us in a rush it works well!) but most of all I embraced her own set of basic beliefs that she has created to guide her through each day of her life – and clearly they have worked!
Louise lives by the following beliefs:
I am always safe – Wherever I go and wherever I am I am always safe.
Everything I need to know is revealed to me – I don’t have to struggle. Knowledge comes to me. If I am supposed to know something it is revealed to me
Everything I need comes to me in the perfect time space sequence – I release the struggle of trying to make things happen. I speak my word for what I believe and then I let it go. I deal with what is in front of me and I know that what is right for me will come to me in the perfect time space sequence.
Life is a joy and filled with love – As I choose to believe this it comes true for me. Our hearts job is to pump joy through our bodies and what we have to do is get our negative thoughts out of the way to allow this to happen.
I am loving and I am loved – I operate from the loving place of the heart as often as I can
I prosper wherever I turn and my income is constantly increasing – I ask myself, how can I help others? My prosperity flows from this.
I am willing to grow and change –
I am open and receptive to new ideas and insight. I am willing to look at myself. I can become more of who I am, not better because this implies that who I am is not good enough. Becoming more of who I am implies that I want to expand and grow and that I am willing to let go of what doesn’t work for me anymore.
All is well in my world
It doesn’t matter which direction my life goes because it will always be good. I trust life to take me where I am supposed to go and I know that everything will always be for my highest good.
How uplifting to be able to read and hear how Louise has guided herself through her life. I urge you to get a hold of Louise’s material if you connect with this in any way.
Talk to you soon
